Midnight Syndicate

If Midnight Syndicate had been around in the late 19th century, we would have loved to have performed at (or simply lurked about) Cabaret de L'Enfer in Paris. This hell-themed cabaret was heavy on ambience as guests enjoyed drinks in "the abyss" while being entertained by red imps, devilish musicians, and illusionists. Certainly a precursor to not only to themed restaurants but also haunted attractions! Recommended listening: "Descent Into the Depths" on Spotify spoti.fi/3qMipnF, YouTube www.youtube.com/watch?v=smzTRJrznW4 , also available on Alexa and Apple Music.

Rumor has it this place and others like it, was the influence behind Disney haunted manor. Disney drove an ambulance when he was 14 in France.

It isn't possible to love this any more than I do right now!!! So very cool. The world needs more places like this!

Wow what a dream performance space!

Here's a page from a Phantom story, written by me, art by Percy Ochoa, which will be published in the Australian Phantom comic book later this year.

Sounds like fun. Reminds me of the Grand guignol. www.grandguignol.com/history.htm

I can completely see you guys there! On a side note I’m a writer and one place I get inspiration from is music, from a single song to an entire album. (I wrote an entire Novella looping one song for 9 hours a few years ago! 😂) I never pick when or where inspiration will strike. And when it happens I’m locked in until I get it all out on paper, just the same when I deal with noisy characters. Currently I am OBSESSED with ‘Carnival Arcane’ (the Circus has always been chilling to me, I have Coulrophobia, severely) the tone for this album has my mind going a mile a minute for a week now, fleshing out story boards!!! THANX BUNCHES! I Love How Your music tells a story without words! 🤩

So cool! That instantly reminds me of one of those typical old restaurants of the Harz (Sachsen-Anhalt). It was in Wernigerode I believe. There were witches and devils hanging from the ceiling or sitting on the roof beams, and staring at you while you tried to eat and drink. xD Unfortunately, I don't find any pics of it in the internet. Will apparently have to ask my mom for its correct name...

This needs to be resurrected….come on ….this is just too cool🥰👹

I thought this was a New Orleans post. Which actually makes a lot of sense ✨ So amazing

Love their music

I love your album that came out in 2010 that was all about vampires. Used it at the haunted house I helped out at for Halloween. :)

World's first goth club!

Jenny! Look at this! 🖤

Bring this back!

Genial excelente

ABOUT MIDNIGHT SYNDICATE

For over two decades, composers Edward Douglas and Gavin Goszka have been known as Midnight Syndicate, creating symphonic soundtracks to imaginary films that facilitate a transcendental and adventurous escape into the secret dimensions of the mind’s eye. To many of their fans, they are horror music pioneers brewing a signature blend of instrumental orchestral gothic music and movie-style sound effects. To others, they remain the first “haunted house band” that forever changed the Halloween music genre and became a staple of the October holiday season.  Still others, know them for their contributions to the use of music in the roleplaying and board game industries.
