Rare original video from Midnight Syndicate's first live shows in March of 1998 set to the song "Sleep Tight" from their 2001 "Gates of Delirium." album.
In March of 1998, Midnight Syndicate produced a series of multimedia live shows in support of their first self-titled album. The shows, staged at the former black box theatre, Cabaret Dada in downtown Cleveland, Ohio featured a blending of live music, film, and other immersive elements. The shows were the building blocks for the live shows Midnight Syndicate would later perform at Cedar Point from 2014-2023. March of 1998 marked a key moment in the band's history as Gavin Goszka would join Midnight Syndicate shortly after attending one of the shows establishing the lineup that exists to this day.
The footage featured in this video is from one of the final film segments of the show (which was scored live each night). In it, the character only known as "McMadigan" (played by actor, Joseph Guay) is confronted with disturbing shadows from his past. Other actors featured include: Christopher Robichaud (the "Doctor"), Trishalana Kopaitich ("Nurse"), Tracy Brown ("Orderly"), Michael Maxim, Craig Laux, Dave Schlund, Nicki Czelusniak, Debbie Marincic, Rosann Bilek, Gary Ulmer, and Julie Ness. The video was shot and directed by Midnight Syndicate's Edward Douglas who would later go on to co-write and the direct the vampire/zombie mashup @TheDeadMatter (2010).
