The Rage is an insane ride," says Edward Douglas, "and
the score reflects that both thematically and instrumentally. Part of the
film is spent digging into the sordid past of the main villain, Dr. V.
That allowed me to play with some different recurring themes. I'm really
happy with how it came out. Definitely plenty of surprises, variety, and
some new musical twists for us - more than a few tracks for our haunter
friends."
4 / 17 / 07 - The Rage update - The score was completed April 3rd and final mixing will be completed this week. Look for updates soon!
3 / 25 / 07 - The Rage update - Since January, the band has been locked away in the studio working on the score to Robert Kurtzman's The Rage. The score will be completed in mid-April, with final mixing commencing immediately afterwards. The Rage will be previewed at the West Coast edition of FANGORIA'S Weekend of Horrors Convention May 18th-20th in Burbank, California.
Be sure to check on our site, as well as www.TheRageFilm.com, for information on a release date as it becomes available. 2 / 6 / 07 - The Rage update - Edward Douglas has been spear-heading the Midnight Syndicate score to Robert Kurtzman's The Rage for the past six weeks. "It's one hell of a ride," said Douglas of the film. "Horror fans who enjoyed Dusk Till Dawn are especially going to enjoy this one. It's high octane that kicks in and doesn't stop until the end credits roll - that's led to a pretty intense score so far." On a side note, fans of the metal band, Mushroomhead (also natives of the Cleveland area), will be pleased to see the band make an appearance in the movie performing an upcoming single.
Horror fans heading to the Midwest edition of Fangoria's
Weekend of Horrors Convention, February 23-25 at the Wyndham Chicago
O'Hare Hotel (6810 North Mannheim Road, Rosemont, IL) will have the opportunity
to meet Robert Kurtzman in person and catch a panel where he will be discussing
the making of The Rage and another film he just directed entitled,
Buried Alive. Fans will be able to check out an exhibit devoted to
The Rage (with props, new statues, busts, etc.) and see exclusive
clips from the film as well as pick up movie posters that Kurtzman will
be signing for free. Kurtzman will also take part in the Fangoria Comics
presentation, alongside editor Scott Licina and writer/artist Mark Kidwell
(Image Comics' 68). This second panel will provide information on Kurtzman's
comic-book debuts Bump????? and his prequel to The Rage.

1 / 20 / 06 - MIDNIGHT SYNDICATE TO SCORE THE RAGE
Midnight Syndicate is teaming up with director and special
FX master Robert Kurtzman to score his upcoming horror film, The Rage.
The Rage is the latest motion picture event from Robert Kurtzman.
Robert, creator of From Dusk Till Dawn, director of Wishmaster,
and co-founder of the prolific make-up effects studio, KNB EFX (Chronicles
of Narnia) has opened his own film production facility called Precinct
13 Entertainment (special effects for The Hostel and Devils
Rejects). Precinct 13 will be producing the film.
It's great to be working with a legend like Robert Kurtzman,
said Edward Douglas, I was able to view the first 20 minutes of the
movie and it looks incredible. Its going to be a great project.
"I am totally pumped about working with Midnight Syndicate," Robert
Kurtzman said. "I have been a big fan for years, and to have them on
board is a huge thrill for everyone involved in this production. What makes
it all the more exciting is having them so close to us in Cleveland, adding
significant clout to this true 'Buckeye' production. I can't wait to hear
what they come up with!"
