“The Rage” OST is a typical MS production, but on the other hand it is not, since Ed Douglas has done a successful “walk on the thin line” with this production. On one side, there is the superb style of MS, which one has heard before in other production of MS, on the other side one can find a new style, which hits the horrorfilm genre perfectly – like the so called fist in the eye. Both styles are like symbionts which are smoldering together to an extreme terrifying and dark sound, which is a excellent sound for the ear. But also everyone who knows previous works from MS will recognize the sound of MS immediately, when you listen to the first track of the CD. (Best listening with good headphones). The dark atmosphere of the soundtrack runs through the spine that’s for sure. The only need now would be a 5.1 version of the OST and it would be perfect. Anyway, really great work. A must have!
